I think we have a misunderstanding here. Let me clarify, where would be a good place or informative instructional books to help me train my 5 month Pit Bull on how to be a well behaved dog. This may include " tough love" training because he's so cute I want to baby him and to definitely follow basic commands without putting up to much of a mess.Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Best dog training book for problemed dog?
I was going to get a cesar millan book but there are so many and im not sure which one would be the best for my dog.He is a rescue beagle and has more than his fair share of problems. He can be possesive over objects and especially food, we have learnt how to get these objects and food away from him safley but we obviously want to sort that problem out and make sure he doesnt do it all together. He has problems with other dogs. When he was in the kennels he got mauled by another dog and left for dead, So he has problems with some dogs on walks. Its quite weird actually because he got on perfectly and had a perfect first meet with my labrador who is obviously taller than him and is a female but he can be aggressive towards other dogs. He is never aggressive towards dogs that are smaller than him only dogs that are larger than him. He doesnt go for all dogs but its is more than we want. Also its not like he is trying to 'kill' other dogs more of a horrible playing im not sure how to explain it. His call back is crap to say the least, i know that beagles are a very hard breed to train callback but you have to lure this dog in with treats to get him in from the back yard lol.So if you know a training book that best reflects my dog then can you please let me know about it, thank youIm not in the mood for sh t smart ss comments like that Im pretty sure people knew that i was talking about a book i can read for ideas on how to train my dog.we have had a trainer for him and he was a waste of time. In a whole he told us to just avoid the problems, he didnt help us train out the problems. So we have already wasted a lot of money on that,yes we could find another trainer but we dont have the money to spend on another trainer the last one cost a fortune.Whats wrong with the books? im sure if i read one i would beable to train the dog out of these thingseharri3 thanks a bunch for your comment that totally makes sense and i will start my research as soon as possible.
