Dog Breeders

Question: Questions for show dog breeders?

What breed(s) do you breed? Do you sell some of your puppies as pets? If so, how much do you sell them for? Just curious.

I sell my Boston Terrier puppies for from around $600-$1500 this is because they are very expensive to take care of and it is my job to help the breed, and I put so much money into their health and also sometimes since the breed has a smashed in face, their faces are wider then the birth canal and can need c-sections. I do show some of my very own Boston Terriers but I sell mostly as pets.

I dont breed, but if I did.. it would be either Cresteds, Xolos or Peruvian Inca Orchids Most show breeders have pet-quality in about every litter.. very rare is an entire litter show-quality.. it happens, but not often. How much.. would probably be anywhere between $600-1200 depending on which breed, and if its a hairless or a puff/ coated.. those are just typical prices for a pet-quality dog.

I breed chihuahuas, but very few end up in pet homes due to the small size of the litters and only breeding at the most one litter per year. Pet quality pups start at $800, but that's from one or two champion parents who've both been fully health screened.

I breed weimaraners and bulldogs Yes every reputable breeder has pet puppies, I have not sold any bulldogs as pets but the two litters I have had were really good litters. I sell my pets at the same price as my show, I see no point in deviation.

I am not a breeder but I got both of my dogs from show breeders. Price was the same and yes they both sold puppies as pets. One in each litter went on for their CH and at least one is pet only and the others are performance. Westie one CH and also performance Westie one pet only Westie one performance (mine) Sheltie one CH just finished will also be doing performance Sheltie one training for performance (mine) Sheltie the other three are pets only O
