Tips on dog training?

Question: Tips on dog training?

(Posted by: on 2012-02-04 15:04:11)

I'm 13 and I have a wolf, which is slightly more stubborn than an average dog. In the future I want to have a wolf rescue, that is why I have him. It is a lot of work but it is really worth it. I read books on raising him by nicole wilde but any extra hints will be helpful. Don't write hate messages, cause I don't care and I'm tired of it, shut up and leave me be. I've already heard the fake messages "He will turn " No they don't if you raise them right. "They are aggressive " pf- ft not. Any dog training tips help, he's not too different from a dog, he is a sweetheart. Thanks to anyone who helps

Wolves will need a TON of exorsize, because they require a lot of energy to survive in the wild. You should be walking him on leash for a couple hours a day or longer. Enlist the help of your family. Wolves will have a strong pray drive, keep him away from cats and small children. They are also more destructive, so kiss your nice things goodbye. Having a wolf is like having an autistic dog. Autistic children are hard to raise because they cannot read body language and understand social cues that are necessary for parent-child communication. Dogs have evolved to understand human's social cues. Their easy to train because they understand hand gestures, pointing, tone of voice, and can learn the meaning of certain words. A wolf will not have these adaptations, it will be hard to train simply because it doesn't understand you, much like an autistic child can't understand other people. You will need to rely on positive reinforcement-type training and less on training that emphisiszes dog-owner communication.

Don't laugh at all. Your the alpha to him. He looks up to YOU. Wolfs are diffrent than dogs you have to be very stern at the begging and don't show any signs of fear

A wolf is a wild animal that doesn't conform like a dominated dog does, and should never be kept as a pet, let alone by a 13 yr old. I think that someones imagination is running alittle wild, but that ok..that's normal for a 13 yr old...

Dogs are domesticated animals and can be trained \wolves are wild animals and can't be trained
