Dog Tricks

Question: Teaching my dog tricks?

We found our little black puggle at a local drug store tied up and the cashier said that she had been there since the opened. WeVe had her for a few months now and I recently discovered she knows the command "sit ". My other dogs know many tricks, an I'm trying to teach her some, but she's a bit of a bozo. I told he to sit and once she did I'd say "paw? " grab her paw and say "good girl, Maggie! " and give her a treat. After about a half hour of this, I figured shed get the idea, but she doesnt. Help? What am I doing wrong?

She might be an old dog and its harder for her to grasp the idea. Dogs thrive on repetition so you must keep doing it over and over again. You might also want to include some kind of treat reward for when she does get it right.

Did you just take this dog without being sure if her owner was close by? You may have stolen someones dog and could end up in some serious trouble.
