He's a mix, pitbull lab shepherd husky. He'll be ten weeks old tomorrow. Still trying to figure out what traits he's taking on so far, I'm thinking the pitbull or lab. Just looking for people's suggestions on sites that give good training advice. Mainly we need to work on nipping mouthing , jumping pouncing tackling not on me, but occasionally my six year old and especially my two year old and chewing on stuff that's not his. I know these are all typical puppy habits, but I'd like to get them under control early. I'm hoping to get him into an obedience class, but he needs all his shots first. I appreciate any help

How to train a puppy to poop on the training pads?
I have a Morkie puppy who just turned 7 weeks old. We take him outside when we are home, but we are also using the pads. He will pee on the pads & already knows to go to them without being placed on it, but will not poop on it. He will just find different places to go in the house. If we catch him & put him on the pad he will go, but that is the only time. The odd thing is, as soon as he goes outside, he already knows to pee with us just saying " go potty" one time, but he doesn't even like to poop outside. Which in all fairness, we have had tons of rain this past week & he hates going into the wet grass & in the rain. Can't blame him for that one.... We have only had him for a week, so we have had very few nice days to work with & even then, due to the amount of rain, the yard is so wet, he still doesn't want to go out into it. So what are some suggestions on how to get him to start pooping on the pad?So I guess I am looking for advice on a couple things. I know a lot of you may be thinking the pads are confusing him & I need to get rid of them all together. I completely understand why you feel that way & I have worried about that myself. A lot of people say to crate train. Here is my delimma. I am using the pads b c of work. There are about 4 hrs in the morning before I come home for lunch & either 4 or 6 hrs in the afternoon depending on what day of the week it is. I fully believe in crate training, and would love to try it, but I am scared that he is left alone too long at this age to do that to him. We keep him in our bathroom so he has plenty of room to play & we use a baby gate so he can see out into the bedroom. I would love to get away from the pads, but do you use the pads or do you just let him go in the floor until you get home & take him outside? I just don't think I can do that. At least with the pads, it makes for a more sanitary environment for him vs. having it on the floor in different areas of the bathroom. I want to make this as easy for him as I can. I don't want to confuse him, but I just don't know what to do. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
