Toilet training a puppy?
Okay so we have a 6 month old westie and he still won't poo or wee outside He was very poorly untill being 5 months old so has only just recently been aloud outside, but now it seems impossible to teach he to go out. We put him out after meals, play time, naps and when we see him squatting but no matter how long he's kept outside for he holds it untill he gets inside. Is there anyway to teach him to go outside, or is he set in his ways?
Paper training a puppy?
My puppy already understands about using the bathroom outside, but i work 3 days a week for 8 hours, and i need to paper train her as well. I don't want to leave her in a little bitty crate all day. I had thought about just letting her stay in our room all day, since she doesnt get into anything, its just that when I come home she's peed & pooed on the floor. I can't be mad at her, i cant expect her to hold it that long.. but I have laid the puppy pads on the floor, one in each corner.. & she has used them like once or twice, but the majority of the time she just goes wherever. I alwayss, take her to the puppy pad and show her thats where to go and praise her when she does, but its not seeming to work. What else can I do?
Any tips on potty training a puppy?
My girlfriend and I got a new puppy last night from a pet store. She is an Australian shepherd blue tick healer mix. She is 8 weeks and is not potty trained. This is mine and my girlfriends first pet that isn't house broken. She has peed a couple times today inside. Is there any helpful hints or tips anyone can give it? It would be much appreciated
Why do people use potty pads when potty training a puppy?
I have never been able to understand why people use potty pads when potty training a puppy all it does is teach the puppy its ok to per inside so why do people use them?
Crate training a puppy?
So I got a new puppy and I been crate training her.I keep her gated in the laundry room.Daytime she is good but at night it's a different story.I put her in after she goes potty and she whines for 10 25 min then stops.About 3am I take her out again.I bring her back in and try to be firm and put her back in the crate and tell her go to bed.She will start howling.Am I doing the right thing to get her on a sleep schedule will she catch on and stop?" How to train a puppy to not whine and bite all the time?
So I got a heeler lab x today and I love my dog but she keeps biting me, play biting. I get that she's probably teething because she's only 9wks but it hurts and I save firmly ''no'' when she bites but it doesn't stop her. then if I leave the room for 2 seconds she starts barking and whining. How to I get her to stop?

Crate Training a Puppy?
I recently adopted a puppy and I have decided to utilize crate training while she is young to help in avoiding accidents, damage, and to aid in the adjustment of the new pet to our household. I haven't done this before, so I do have some questions. Since I work during the day, I plan to be gone for 3 4 hours in the morning, home for lunch an hour or thereabout, where I can walk the dog , and then back to work for 3 4 hours. When come, the dog will not be crated, rather, I will be utilizing baby gates to ensure she stays within visibility to help monitor her behavior for signs of having to " potty" . My question remains at this. Even though she is crated during the day, is it still okay to crate her at night? While little, I plan to crate her at night, taking her out every 2 3 hours until she fully gets the hang of where and where not to go potty. Once she is older, I don't think I'll have to worry about crating her although, she may end up sleeping in there by her own choice down the road . However, until I can fully trust her, I feel that this is important.Any advice suggestions?
How do you properly potty train a puppy mill dog?
About three weeks ago, I adopted a four year old chihuahua from an animal group. She had been in a puppy mill for about three and a half years. They bought her at auction. Now, she is comfortable with us and she definitely understands that when we take her outside she is supposed to use the bathroom. For the most part, she does exactly that.... however, when we sleep at night she sneaks out into the living room and pees. Sometimes, when we aren't there, she does the same thing. It is almost like she is half potty trained. We can't lock her in her kennel because she HATES kennels as they remind her of being in a puppy mill. She absolutely freaks. Does anyone have any useful tips or advice? Thanks
Tips to house train a puppy?
haveing some issues on getting my new boxer to house train? sometimes she goes on the puppy pads and somtimes she wont. we are watching her closly to make sure we catch her and give her treats when she does. My bf wants to spank her when she doesnt go on the pads but i dont want to do that . so not sure what to do any ideas?

i heard that when you rough up a puppy when its smaller it becomes aggressive when it starts to get older i don't know how to make him stop he growls when you pick him on sometimes and when you to pet him he thinks your playing and starts nibbling on your fingers or a playful bite. how do i stop that because i don't want him becoming to aggressive i just want him to be a good dog or at least not so aggressive someone help me ASAPI also need him to stop chewing on things he's not suppose to chew on for example he always chews on the edge of the rug we have but i don't want him to i want him to chew on the chew toys he hashe does sometimes chew on the chew toys but i don't know how to stop him from chewing on things thats not a chew toy like the rug

I'm getting a beagle puppy and want it to like being picked up but not sure how too make him like it?
